Each character has its own strengths and weaknesses and players need to factor them in viewing the customization process. In terms of difficulty, the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 gameplay is relatively simple. Players only use two buttons and it all comes down to coordinating every move. Many of the actions are performed automatically, but players need to pay attention to spikes. By finding the right intensity and anticipating them of their opponents, they can emerge victorious. What are others saying about Dead or Alive Xtreme 3?

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 sales exceeded expectations and a lot of money is still spent by players. The monetization system chose by developers worked wonders, as users unlock new characters. Even the initial package was large enough to keep players at the edge of their seats and convince them to persevere. Hundreds of thousands of copies were sold and game producers promise to add downloadable content.

Most of the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 reviews are written by players from Asia, where the game is most popular. The rights limitations for multiple anime licenses slowed down the sales initially, but most of these issues are now behind. As far as players are concerned, the new game is a giant leap forward for the franchise. They are particularly happy with the new graphics and the manner in which the game runs on PlayStation 4. Critics claim that the game objectifies women and blessed too much on nudity.

My rating of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3

I should start by saying that anime video games are not exactly my cup of tea. When I stumbled upon Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, I was almost certain that this game will be a huge waste of time. My concerns were based on the fact that developers were using nudity to hide a shallow gameplay. In retrospect, I have to admit that there is much more than meets the eye about this game. This means a great deal, since the graphics are quite fascinating and I understand why many guys would play it.

The volleyball videogame that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is supposed to be based on is pretty strong. In the absence of near naked models, it would probably fall flat or leave a lot to be desired. As it is, this game is more than a welcomed distraction for those who want to play without getting frustrated. In a world where we tend to invest so much effort and energy in winning RTS and MMORPG games, this one feels like a breath of fresh air. If mindless fun is what you see, you’ll get your fill here as the game scores 8 out of 10 on my review rating scale.
