Plot of Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC

Development of Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC

Fallout 4 Far Harbor was announced in early 2016 and the release date was set for May 19. Developers stuck with the deadline and upon release, players got to explore a large landmass, participate in complex quests and interact with more new characters. This justified the higher price of the DLC, compared to the previous releases. In order to address some performance issues, the version for PlayStation 4 was released again on June 2.

Some of the side quests felt a bit repetitive to some players who complained that a lot of traveling was required, just to transfer loot. As for the puzzles, they were frowned upon by some reviewers, although the vast majority of the players enjoyed them greatly. The same goes for the main story, which some critics dismissed as a shallow plot that is not a worthy heir for Fallout 4

My rating of Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC

I didn’t expect to play an entirely different game went I purchased Fallout 4 Far Harbor and quite frankly I would’ve gladly settled for a tiny expansion pack. The DLC exceeded my expectations, with significantly more quests and content than what I was expecting. Without being an inexpensive product, at least by downloadable content packs standards, it is worth every dime.

One of the main reasons for why I have enjoyed playing Fallout 4 so much was the atmosphere and the fact that each important decision I made reverberated on the outcome. In this regard, the downloadable content maintained the same high standards and I’ve enjoyed every hour spent in game. The bottom line is that I’m quite happy with what Bethesda Game Studios came up and my review score of 9 out of 10 should reflect my satisfaction.
