There are a couple of tables dedicated to highrollers, so those who seek the adrenaline rush of nosebleed limits won’t be disappointed. The rake charged is the same as the one at PokerStars, but the rake back is slightly lower.

Players are allowed to use applications that help them calculate the PokerStars odds for every hand they play. This third-party software is endorsed by the poker room, so you can use it without fearing repercussions. At higher limits, virtually every player relies on such software, so those who don’t are at a disadvantage. Full Tilt Poker came a long way from the bookmaker threatened with total disaster in 2011. The fact that they were acquired by PokerStars helped mend their reputation and they are now among the most respectable operators. This is a better place for beginners and amateurs, but grinders and poker sharks would be better off playing elsewhere. All the recent measures were created specifically to help amateurs, at the expense of more experienced players. They don’t offer sports betting and casino options such as Unibet, Bwin, Paddy Power, Ladbrokes or Youwin, but they have a more comprehensive poker product.

Many of them have adjusted their view and now regard them as a respectable player in this competitive industry. My rating of Full Tilt Poker

I’ve played poker at Full Tilt Poker since 2004 and I was disappointed to see them crash in 2011. Luckily I didn’t lose any cash and didn’t have to wait for reimbursement, so no harm done. Both before and after Black Friday, I enjoyed a great gaming experience at cash games, sit ‘n goes and tournaments. I never won any major event, but I felt safe playing here and there were no technical glitches either.

Full Tilt Poker had its ups and downs, but it is now one of the poker rooms I recommend wholeheartedly. It’s a bit ironic that their archrival PokerStars was the one to save them, but this matters little given their current quality. I understand and appreciate their concern for the small guy, even at the expense of sharks and grinders. Hadn’t it been for their stormy past, I would bestow a perfect 10, but as it is a 9/10 will do.
